Mike grew up in Missoula, MT where he met and married his wife Melissa and attended the University of Montana from 2004-2009. While at the U of M he studied the thermodynamics, kinetics, and structural properties associated with protein folding under the guidance of Professor Bruce Bowler. He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry in 2009 from the U of M. In the fall of 2009 he moved, with his family, to Pullman, WA where he is currently a graduate student at Washington State University and a member of Professor Herb Hill’s research group.
Mike’s current research interests include biochemical, therapeutic and diagnostic applications of IMMS, primarily in the area of metabolomics.
